Update on how yesterday went, from Almando.
Today was a special day. A trial by fire (Alec). My favorite thing to hear is “I am hungry and I have to pee” (Jamie). We gonna be alright (Sam). The support of the team and God will pull us through (Sara). Group hug (Jesse). Love and humility (Jade). Worship our Father with all your hearts souls and strength (David). So blessed to work with Al again. He is a perfect addition in this partnership (CJ). Worship through the thick and thin (Katie). Peace of the Lord surpasses all things (Mine).
If you didn’t see the update yesterday the team members who were not feeling well got food poisoning. The team is feeling better, but a little weak, and hopefully will be starting on the wall this morning. As well as working with the kids, and teaching them great things!
Thank you for your continued prayers! They are much appreciated!
UPDATE: We have learned that the team members who are not feeling well have food poisoning. They will be laying low today and resting. Praying that tomorrow everyone will be feeling completely well!
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14
We heard from the team this morning! Unfortunately most of them are pretty sick right now. Please join us in prayer for complete healing and overall health. I know the team is eager to start on the wall and are also looking forward to teaching all of the children.
Update from our team.
We made it happily and safely to our destination. Our Praying Pelican Missions staff treated us to lunch at a nice restaurant near the airport and drove us to El Bethel. Once again with were warmly welcomed with our National anthem and then the Haitian national anthem, played by the orphanage band.
It was a treat for those of us who were here last year to hear our names called by the friends we made and to see familiar faces. We are so looking forward to building great relationships with the kids and the orphanage staff as we also look forward to being the Lord’s hands and feet to them.
The team made all of their flight connections and just left on their last flight in to Haiti. Everyone is very excited to get to El Bethel and see the kids! When they arrive in Haiti the Praying Pelican Team will be meeting them and transporting them to El Bethel.
Please continue praying for safe travel.
The LFF Haiti 2016 Mission team left this morning to travel to the West Side of the state. They arrived safely and will be flying out at 11:35pm to continue traveling to Haiti. Please pray for safety! We will be updating this blog as information comes in.
