Trip Update: Ministry in the Community

Today has been a great day!
This morning we were able to send three small groups from our team out into the community. We encountered many different kinds of people. Some who wanted us to pray for them, some who didn’t want us to, and some who even gave their lives to Christ after hearing our stories. Thank you, Jesus!
It’s awesome to see how God is using our team for the benefit of The Kingdom. We are very humbled to be given such a great opportunity to be God’s hands and feet down here in Haiti.

Thank you for all of your continued prayers for protection, guidance, and health over our team!

Trip Update: Children’s Ministry and Building Roofs

While some of us were on construction, some of our girls got together to do kids ministry. We played soccer and frisbee with the kids, and then talked with them about the environment and different climates. It was great to see the kids sitting quietly and paying attention to the team!

In this picture, Alicia, Isaac, Melissa and Sarah are carrying one of the trusses we built to the work site. We need to build nine of these, and we already have four so far!

Your prayers are very important for us, as we are showing God’s love to this community.

Trip Update: Planting and Building

After breakfast this morning, we got split into two groups. Some of us went out into the community and planted trees in peoples’ yards, while sharing stories and the Gospel with them.
Then we had another group of us doing construction. The construction plan this week is to put a roof over a house. Praise God for Dave and Beth whose skills in engineering is making this possible. Not sure what it would have looked like without them!

Thank you for your continued prayers over our team!

Trip Update: Arrival in Granbouchi

Yesterday was our first day in Haiti!
After landing and getting through customs, we all got in the bus and headed to Granbouchi.
We got to Granbouchi safely and we settled in in our lodging. Then we got to visit with the pastor we will be serving this week (Pastor Jean Delcy). He told us about himself and his ministry, and the projects we will be working on this week. Then we had our dinner and some of us took a tour around his community. We will soon go to bed for a much-needed night of rest.

Pray for us that God will use us as He wants and that we will be able to follow His directions during this week.
We really can’t wait to see what tomorrow looks like as our first ministry day.

God Bless,
